Default Mounting Siege Turtles and Juggernauts

In GW:EN we've been able to mount Siege Devours, and in Nightfall the worms (although those are a bit different). The point of this thread though is in Aspenwood I think it would provide brilliant fun if players could mount into the beasts of war (Siege Turtles and Juggernaut). Their skills get changed and they could take control, it'd definitely popularize the matches and prevent both critters from making lousy AI mistakes. Altlhough some jerks may take the juggernaut behind green gate to bond it, or something of the likes. Personaly although this is a valid tactic in my book, most players don't think so. So simply limit the juggernaut to not being able to venture behind the green gate, an invisible wall if you will. However I think perhaps the match sizes should be increased to 10 or 12, to compensate for the "smarter" beasts and he lack of players fighting on the field since some would be controlling the beasts.

So what do you all think?

hmmm, god like players running around in big turtles or trees.... I LOVE IT
though i doubt A-Net will do anything about it... the only things they really look back on games is nerfing area's and nerfing skills.

It would be very interesting, yes. But it would also have to be closely monitored for a while to make sure it was balanced.

Though if both sides are controlling the Beasts of War with the same skills they currently use, I don't see how it would unbalance things...

Some questions to think about for now:
  • How do the teams choose who controls the Beasts without fighting over it?
  • If one side chooses to mount the Beasts and the othe side doesn't, how are the team numbers made equal?

Like I said, very interesting. If they could make it work and balance it, then for sure:

Juggernauts can't be 'mounted'. People must sacrifice them selvves in orther to turn into them. They give energy bonuses to those around them, so that is enough.

Siege turtles are a good idea. But since juggernauts can't be mounted, this would be unbalanced in the Jade Quarry.

Mounting Juggernauts is a horrible idea. They're people, too... sort of.

Mounting turtles sounds cool, but there's no space on top because of the cannon.

There are ladders there, actually. If you have a closer look, they are designed so people get on top of them and load the cannon. They are manually charged by people mounting them.

They could have an unique skill used only while mounting them, something like a 'double projectile' or a 'calculated shot'.
